UF/IFAS Pasco County Cooperative Extension and the Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) are hosting the One Stop Community Bicycle Helmet Safety Day March 25, 2024, – to encourage safe biking practices and provide FREE helmets to people of all ages!

WHAT:          Bicycle Helmet Safety Day

WHEN:          March 25, 2024 3 – 7 p.m.

WHERE:        One Stop Shop 15029 14th Street Dade City

“We’re excited to host this event and provide an opportunity for families to prioritize safety while enjoying outdoor activities,” says Cooperative Extension Director Dr. Whitney Elmore.  “Wearing a helmet significantly reduces the risk of head injuries in the event of a bicycle crash, and our goal is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to this crucial safety equipment.”

You must be present and get a required customized fitting to receive the free helmet at this rain or shine event.  No reservations are needed, but due to limited quantities and sizes, helmets are on a first come, first served basis.  Our team of certified helmet fitters will be on-site to assist in selecting the appropriate size and custom fitting all helmets.
