Pasco County’s Building Construction Services Department (BCS) is excited to bring you two events in May to celebrate this year’s Building Safety Month.  To help raise awareness about safety in buildings and to encourage community members do their part with compliance, BCS is offering Build Better Together: Permitting Assistance Day!

WHAT:    Permitting Assistance Day

WHEN:    Saturday, May 4, 2024 | 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

WHERE:  Elsie Logan Community Center, 15830 Greenglen Lane, Shady Hills

“After meeting with the Shady Hills Community Association – addressing transportation, technology and cost concerns – we decided to take our show on the road,” says BCS Director JP Murphy.  “We’re giving community members the opportunity to fix issues without worrying about violations or extra fees, and we’re emphasizing building compliance to help keep our structures safe and sustainable for everyone in Pasco.”

Event Includes:

  • Permit education and application assistance
  • Help with online PascoGateway registration
  • Eliminating after-the-fact penalty fees on work that may have been done without permits
  • Scheduling inspections
  • Q&A session for all your permitting needs

In addition to Permitting Assistance Day, BCS will also offer After-the-Fact Amnesty throughout the month of May for all work previously started or completed without proper permits.
