Another year, and we’re breaking more records!  Our volunteers picked up nearly 20 tons of trash throughout the county during the 2024 Great American Cleanup – one of our largest and most successful cleanup events ever!

During the March 2, 2024, event more than 1,000 volunteers fanned out in public spaces – along roadsides and around waterways – covering 52 locations throughout Pasco County.

Here’s a breakdown:

• 57 tons of trash collected
• 52 locations around Pasco County
• 1,002 volunteers
• 3,449.5 volunteer hours logged
• $109,694.10 cost-benefit

Keep Pasco Beautiful hosts the Great American Cleanup with corporate funding assistance.  The event’s success is a result of collaboration and assistance from Pasco County Public Works, Pasco County Solid Waste, Pasco County Recycling, Pasco County Environmental Compliance, Pasco County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, Covanta Pasco and Tampa Bay Water.
