Land Development Code Amendments

Restated, Reorganized & Amended Land Development Code

Pasco County's restated, reorganized and amended Land Development Code (LDC) was effective January 1, 2012. Since that time, the LDC has undergone a series of amendments. Previous versions of the Code can be viewed on the Land Development Code Rewrite webpage.

As the LDC is an on-going work in progress, the County will be making further amendments. These amendments are addressed through tiered priorities as set forth by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC), or through yearly amendment packages that address minor fixes to the Code.

LDC Tier Priorities

Staff is continuously working on LDC amendments to implement the County's Comprehensive Plan vision and goals. All of these potential amendments are important to meet that vision, and a tiered priority approach is used to ensure that each of these priority items are addressed. On February 24, 2016, the BCC approved a formal Resolution with the updated LDC Tier Priorities (PDF).

LDC Minor Fix Amendments

Some of the proposed LDC amendments brought to the BCC tend to be relatively minor in nature.

  • Amendment 64 – Section 605 Airport Overlay Districts and Appendix A Definitions – Ordinance Number 23-28 (PDF) – Effective August 10, 2023
  • Amendment 65 – Section 604 Northeast Rural Protection Overlay District Figure 604-1 Northeast Pasco Rural Protection Overlay Boundary; Figure 604-2 Northeast Pasco Rural Scenic Roadways; Figure 604-4 Limits To Topographic Alterations – Ordinance Number 23-40 (PDF) – Effective October 12, 2023.
  • Amendment 66 – Minor Modifications – Several Sections – Ordinance Number 24-04 (PDF) – Effective January 12, 2024.
  • Amendment 67 – Section 602 J. Ben Harrill Villages of Pasadena Hills Stewardship District – Ordinance Number 24-07 (PDF) – Effective January 25, 2024.
