Our Volleyball Academy is designed to help athletes at all skill levels become better players. We have programs for all skill levels and ages, whether you are just starting to play or are a skilled volleyball player, we have a program for you! Elite Volleyball Club trains athletes through athletic development, practice, and competition, in a constructive and positive atmosphere. Teams consist of players ages 10 to 17 and compete in AAU and USA tournaments. Teams are composed of 10 to 12 players which are selected through a tryout process. During this camp we will focus on the individual techniques for attacking, proper footwork and the mechanics of a good arm swing. You will be given the skills to increase your attacking toolbox and techniques required to be a successful attacker. Attacking Camp InformationDefense Camp:
This camp will focus on the technical aspects of a libero and a 6-rotation player. We will work on the fundamentals of ball control, overall defense with a focus on body positioning, passing outside your body, learning to read your opponent, digging and emergency skills. This camp is designed to teach volleyball to girls and boys ages 5-10 in a fun and engaging manner. Our camp curriculum is designed to build eye-hand coordination, teach motor learning and skills development through volleyball specific movements, fun activities, drills, and game play. This All-Skills Elite camp, for boys and girls ages 11-18, is designed to fine tune your fundamentals of volleyball. We will work on form and technique while improving skills and incorporating advanced training movements. Mini Club is geared towards athletes ages 9-15 who are looking to have FUN playing volleyball! This program is designed to teach and develop fundamental volleyball mechanics, 6v6 game knowledge as well as character development and team building. Holly is originally from Bristol, CT, where she attended Bristol Central High School as a three-sport varsity athlete. Holly played basketball, volleyball, and track & field and received the following accolades — 12 varsity letters, All-Academic Team Honors for four years, named to the All-State Team, Senior All-Star team in volleyball ("98, ‘99), Basketball ('99) and track & field (98, ‘99) and All-Conference honors in all three sports (‘97, ’98 & ‘99). She went on to play at the University of New Haven, CT, as a setter, where she was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the week and was twice named NECC Player of the week. She went to the Elite Eight of the 1999 NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Championships.
In 2000 she transferred to play Division I at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT, as a setter/ right side where she helped her team go to the 2001 Northeast Conference (NEC) Conference finals and received NEC All-Academic honors (01, 02). Holly Started her coaching career an assistant coach for Husky volleyball club in Connecticut until 2007 when she took a short break to start her family. She started back up as a coach in 2012 at the Northwest Volleyball Club and St. Paul Catholic High School (2012-14 seasons). She then moved on to coach at her alma mater Bristol Central High School (for the 2015-18 seasons). She broke the school’s best-ever regular-season record (19-5) and overall record (23-6), and led the team to the quarterfinals of the Connecticut State tournament (‘18 season).In 2014, she also became the Assistant Director of the Bristol Crush Volleyball Club, where she started developmental programs for ages 4-15, as well as a high-performance program. In 2018, her 17U High Performance Travel team earned a bid to nationals by winning the NERVA Open Championships.
The team finished 5th at the Mizuno Boston USA level. Holly has trained many players who have gone on to play at the collegiate level. She is very dedicated to, and passionate about, growing the game of volleyball through the art and science of teaching the fundamentals and biomechanics of the game and to building player and team skills in a fun and competitive environment. Her goal as co-director of Florida Sports Coast Volleyball is to build self-confidence in young athletes to not only help them grow into great volleyball players, but also well-rounded individuals, all while developing a love for the game. Holly and her husband Zach Willette were married in 2010 and have 2 sons — Quinn (12) and Evan (9), They reside in St. Petersburg Florida, where she homeschools her two boys, loves spending time with friends and exploring all that the beautiful state of Florida has to offer.Monica Ewalt
Monica Ewalt joined the Staff at Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus as a Co-Director of Volleyball in August of 2021. She brings 21 years of college and club-level training to the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus family. Coach Monica is an active member of the Tampa Bay Chapter of WISE (Women in Sports & Events) and recently served on the Board of Directors for the Tampa United Volleyball Academy, where she played, coached, and led her teams to multiple bids at the Junior National Championships.
She has also become known as one of the top private-lesson instructors in the Tampa Bay area. At the college level, Monica served on the Volleyball staff at Hillsborough Community College (HCC) since 2003 and was named Associate Head Coach in August of 2010. While at HCC, she was selected twice as the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Assistant Coach of the Year, first in 2009 and again in 2015. She helped guide the HCC Hawks to seven National Championship appearances, five Conference Championships and trained multiple National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Americans.
Monica’s dedication and commitment to her players allowed her to help numerous student-athletes gain athletic scholarships to a wide variety of colleges across the country, including NCAA Division I, Division II, and NAIA institutions. As a player, she earned the honor of team captain her sophomore year and led HCC to an appearance in the NJCAA State Championship. Monica and her husband Luke were married in January of 2016 and have a son, Nico. They reside in Lutz, Florida, where she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
