Down Payment Assistance (DPA) Program
All interested homebuyers will need to contact Suncoast Housing Connections (Tampa Bay Community Development Corporation) to attend a Home Buyer Education Class. Homebuyers must work with a Community Development approved lender.
Realtors will need to sign a letter of understanding to participate in the DPA program. Realtors working with a potential homebuyer can reach out to Brian Jordan by email for the letter of understanding.

- FHA Mortgagee Letter 2002-22 (PDF) -This letter explains that local governments do not need to be approved for their down payment assistance program, and that county funds can be used by the buyer as cash required to close on properties.
- Current Lenders Manual (PDF) - This manual provides all of the information to assist you in preparing the loan package for submission to our office.
- Shared Equity - Certain loans that closed after 2006 have a shared penalty that must be paid when the loan is paid off. Call the Community Development Office to see if the loan you are handling is covered by this.
