Foster And Rescue Program

Rapid Response Kitten Fosters

PCAS often receives newborn kittens in need of temporary foster homes until they may be transferred to a rescue partner. These bottle babies must be kept warm and fed every few hours – and this is much easier to do in a home than in a shelter!

Foster families must live no more than 30 minutes from the shelter in Land O’ Lakes, and must agree to foster for 1 to 3 days. Supplies will be provided to help you care for the kittens. Interested in becoming a Rapid Response Kitten Foster?

Rescue Partners

Our rescue partners help make what seems impossible, in many cases, possible. These amazing groups assist with transferring, caring for, and finding homes for several pets at Pasco County Animal Services. Many of our positive outcomes occur because of our relationships with rescues, many of which are listed below.

When PCAS has animals in need of foster care, we typically contact rescue partners first. If you’re interested in fostering a pet, please reach out to these groups.

If you are interested in registering your rescue as a partner with Pasco County Animal Services, please email us.
