Park Information

This community park consists of 6 acres located on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The beach frontage is about 1,900' and the swimming area is 200'. The south Hudson beach frontage is 290' with fishing access. You can watch the most gorgeous sunsets right from the beach, boardwalk, lawn swings, or the observation area above the pavilion. The parking gets very overcrowded because so many people come out to relax and enjoy the view or grab a bite to eat at Sam's On the Beach or Inn on the Gulf Restaurants, which are both located right on the property.

This is a great place to bask in the sun, take a swim, cast a line and do some fishing, or launch your boat and set sail for a day on the Gulf. Keep your eyes open for the dolphins, fish, crabs and sea turtles passing by. Follow the channel out and head south and visit one of our other parks at Anclote River Park which also has a boat ramp and beach area. Anclote Key Island is a State Park located just 3.5 miles south of Anclote River Park and you can camp overnight right on the island. View the Anclote Key Preserve State Park website.

Plan a family picnic, birthday party or even plan a wedding right on the beach. There are picnic tables and charcoal grills for the public to use as well as water fountains, pedestal shower, benches, two large swings and of course a playground for the young children to enjoy.

Boating: There is a boat ramp at the beginning of the park with 33 paved parking spaces. The boat dock is 220' with 8 boat slips. You can launch your power boats, jet-skis, canoe or kayaks from the boat ramp area.

Boat ramp launching fee for boat-trailer parking is $5.00 per day. You can park overnight at the boat ramp for up to a maximum of 10 days. If using cash, you must use exact change as the pay machine doesn't give any change, but it will take credit cards only, not debit cards. You can only purchase an Annual Boat Permit for $50.00 at two of our sites:

Payment Options:

  1. Pay with credit card online (Convenience fee will apply)
  2. Reserve and pay at one of the following three sites with check, cash or credit card (Convenience fee will apply) :

No reservations are necessary for the shelters or pavilion. They are available on a first-come first-served basis.
