AFLAC offers Pasco County employees four different voluntary programs designed to pay cash benefits to the employee in the event of accident or illness. Plans are employee paid and available to permanent, full-time employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The Personal Accident Indemnity Plan pays the employee a cash benefit based on emergency treatment, hospitalization, physical therapy, dismemberment or death from a covered accident on or off the job. Rates vary depending on employee class and level of coverage.
The Personal Cancer Indemnity Plan pays the employee a cash benefit based on first occurrence, hospital confinement, radiation and chemotherapy, among others, all related to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Rates vary depending on level of coverage.
The Specified Health Event Protection Plan pays the employee a cash benefit based on heart attack and coronary artery bypass surgery, stroke, end-stage renal failure, major human organ transplant, major third-degree burns, coma and more. Rates vary depending on level of coverage.
The Personal Disability Income Protector Plan pays a monthly benefit designed to assist with meeting your financial obligations in the event you are disabled and unable to work. Monthly benefits are available from $500 up to $5,000 subject to income requirements. You select the benefit period of 3, 6, 12 or 24 months and the elimination periods. Rates vary depending on class and level of coverage.
