Commercial Landscaping Grant Program
The Pasco Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved funding for the Commercial Redevelopment Landscaping Grant Program as part of its strategy to “fund incentives to promote urban design, and visual, landscaping and aesthetic property improvements for identified (and) targeted redevelopment areas for beautification and property enhancement in commercial districts”.
The positive environment created by aesthetically-pleasing landscaping not only welcomes customers inside local businesses, but also enhances their perception of the level of quality of products and services offered by that business and ultimately increases property values. The Office of Economic Growth has dedicated staff available for hands-on application and program assistance.
- Landscaping Grant Program targeting commercially-zoned properties located in designated, unincorporated areas of Pasco County in Census Tracts where 25% or greater of the households are low and moderate income (consistent with Goal 1.4 of Pasco County’s Strategic Plan). - Maximum Grant Amount: up to $20,000 (50% upon project approval and 50% upon completion). Please ask about additional county-funded programs.
- *Program funding can only be used for the purchase of tree and plant materials.
- 20% applicant match is required. Expenses such as topsoil, mulch and irrigation may be credited toward the applicant match requirement.
- Eligible properties are not to exceed 10 acres, unless directly related to a public community project.
- All county fees and taxes must be current.

- Complete the Landscaping Grant Program Application
- Complete a Commercial Redevelopment Landscaping Grant Program Repayment Agreement
- Provide a Landscape Plan prepared by a professional landscape business
- The landscape plan shall include a detailed tree and plant list and price list/budget
- Provide photographs of the existing conditions of the property to be landscaped
- The submittal shall also provide a landscaping maintenance plan, for a period of at least five (5) years
- Provide a current Business Tax Receipt (BTR) for both the applicant and the landscaping business performing the upgrades. Follow this link to download a copy of your Business Tax Receipt.
- Complete the Vendor Information Form
- Provide a completed W-9 Form
*All project improvements are required to conform to the Pasco County Land Development Code.
