"How-To Guide" for Google Maps


Use Google Maps to access PCPT route and schedule information. 

PCPT route schedule information is live on Google Maps. In order to assist customers who may not be familiar with Google Maps, this service can be used to assist those who would like some guidance.

1. Go to https://www.google.com/maps/ and click on the blue arrow icon next to the search bar.

2. Enter the starting point in the first search bar and the final destination in the second search bar. For this tutorial, we are using Gulf View Square Mall (located at 9409 US-19, Port Richey, FL) as the starting point, and The Shops at Wiregrass (located at 28211 Paseo Drive, Wesley Chapel, FL) as the final destination. Then click on the 'Public Transportation' (transit) icon at the top.leave now image for Google Maps

The screen shots were taken at approximately 3:00 p.m. using the "Leave now" option (default setting). Google Maps shows an overview that contains the route map, which bus route or routes to take, the estimated departure and arrival times, and the estimated duration of the trip.

Google Maps also allows you to plan future trips. Using the 'Depart' option from the drop–down menu, enter the time and date of your trip. If there are several bus routes available, Google Maps will show the various options and future departure times.

3. Click on 'DETAILS' to view more detailed instructions including walking directions, the amount of stops during each portion of the trip, estimated time points, and an estimated cost of the entire trip (cost is based on regular fare one way or day pass).Google Maps Details of route  image 54. To send the information to your mobile device, click on the first icon (mobile device with arrow) and send it via your Google account.

To  copy or share the trip link, click on the second icon (two-sided triangle) and click "COPY LINK" or share on Google+, Facebook, or Twitter.

To print the information and instructions for the trip, click on the third icon (printer) and send to a printer. Google Maps tool to sharing, print or send to phone option
