Community SWOT Analysis
In anticipation of the update to the County’s Strategic Plan, we would like to gather your thoughts and feedback on the state of our community. Share with us what you would like to see in the next chapter for Pasco County!
We will be conducting several community meetings throughout the spring and summer of 2020 and hope to see you there. A schedule and additional details will posted soon.
What is a SWOT Analysis?
SWOT analysis, is study undertaken by an organization to identify its internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as its external opportunities and threats.
Through a SWOT analysis we can identify:
- Strengths: Internal elements that give us an edge or competitive advantage. These can be unique assets, skills, or resources that we can use to our benefit.
- Weaknesses: Internal elements that hinder our ability to reach optimal performance and prevent us from reaching our goals. The goal is to make improvements to these.
- Opportunities: External circumstances and potential situations that can be used or exploited to benefit us. They are beyond our control but we can make the most of them.
- Threats: External circumstances that pose a threat to our current or future ability to achieve what we want to. We must mitigate or avoid these potentially damaging effects.
All Pasco County citizens and county-wide stakeholders so that we can gain the widest perspective of ideas and opinions possible. Come and join us and participate in the upcoming meetings and share your thoughts with other community members!
Because you care about the future of our community! The SWOT analysis process will allow us to realize and organize the relevant data necessary for the furtherance of the Strategic Plan FY21/26.
Knowing our combined strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats will enable us to help identify objectives that are important to you and others, in our community, so that we can achieve those specific goals.
Your participation will help shape the future of your community!
The outcomes of each community meeting will be analyzed to assist in the creation of predetermined methodologies by which we can clearly measure program service-delivery. Our team will be publishing the results of each meeting on this page.
Your input will also will also provide us with the requisite information we will need to formulate the next Pasco County Strategic Plan, as we commit to continual improvement both now and in the future.
