The mission statement for the Pasco County Road & Bridge (Operations) Division states to: “Maintain a safe, quality transportation infrastructure for the citizens who live, work and travel through Pasco County.” The division's Landscaping Program goal is to visually improve the quality of the county's roadways by performing a variety of maintenance activities on county-maintained roads. These activities include mowing rights-of-ways and enhancing medians by planting plants, bushes and trees. Shoulder work is also done to insure proper drainage, repair washouts and to keep roadway edges intact. Removing trash and other debris from the right-of-way is also performed by the crews.
Landscaping is maintained by the Road & Bridge (Operations) Division on major roads within the Public Works Department's Median Enhancement Program.
