The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the West Pasco Government Center, 8731 Citizens Drive, New Port Richey, Florida, 34654 at 10:00 a.m., for the purpose of allowing the public to comment on a proposed amendment to the MPO's Fiscal Year 20-21 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for Project Name: 256334-4, Connection of Wildlife Culverts in the Parker Lake Area. This project is for the addition of two wildlife culverts under SR 52 to connect the Connor Preserve on the southern and northern side of SR 52 in the area of Parker Lake. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING APPROVAL OF THE PASCO COUNTY METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATIONTRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP) AMENDMENT UPDATE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2020-21 SECTION 5305 TRANSIT PLANNING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $169,049
The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the designated organization responsible for conducting a countywide transportation planning program, is scheduled to amend the adopted TIP at their regularly scheduled meeting on February 11, 2021 at 10:00 am in the West Pasco Government Center, First Floor - Board Room, 8731 Citizens Drive, New Port Richey, Florida, 34654. The purpose of this notice is to provide an opportunity for public comments and input on the amount of 5305 (d) funding reflected in the TIP. The FDOT has requested approval of a TIP amendment to update the adopted Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). This amendment updates the FY 2020-21 Section 5305 (d) Transit Planning Funding totaling $169,049 in the Adopted TIP. The MPO is proposing an amendment to year one (FY 2020-21) of the UPWP. The amendment adds the FY 2020-21 allocation of transit funds from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The FTA funds are administered through the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and are obtained by entering into a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA), with the FDOT. The Section 5305 (d) funds are $169,049, currently there is no state and local allocation. Grant funds have been reduced by the state and local match for the current fiscal year. Subsequently, due to the incoming funding identified above in the Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) amendment has been initiated in order to reflect the funds and associated tasks in the UPWP.
