Business Workshops

County staff holds several workshops annually for businesses that generate hazardous waste. However, these workshops are open to the public and can be attended by all interested parties.

The purposes of these workshops are to

• Educate our business owners on how to properly manage their hazwaste,
  
• Assist them in understanding the legal aspects of our programs, and
  
• Provide guidance on how to stay in compliance
  and create a safe work environment at their facilities.

Invitations are mailed to businesses listed in our data bank (database), and these workshops are advertised in the local papers for at least two weeks prior to the scheduled workshops. Please watch for our ads.

Speakers Bureau

County staff is available to deliver presentations to small and large groups, clubs, civic associations and classrooms. Staff can speak on a variety of subjects that include recycling, hazwaste management, solid waste management, waste minimization, pollution prevention, ground and surface waters, and industrial wastewater treatment
