The County is embarking on a Pilot Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program. We have identified 5 locations on the attached map to be addressed over the next year. We are beginning this pilot program to address residents located in excess of a ten-mile radius from our permanent household hazardous waste collection centers. This will assist in a more efficient way to collect household hazardous waste, in addition to assisting the residents who have difficulty or are unable to get to our facilities. We are performing this pilot program with existing staff and materials so as to minimize the impact on our budgets and to evaluate the effectiveness of the said program.
