This Branch coordinates and directs Water and Sewer Services, Reclaimed Water, Solid Waste/Resource Recovery and Street Lighting service. Water and sewer, and solid waste/resource recovery are self-supporting enterprise operations that are funded through user fees and system revenues.
Pasco County water and sewer utilities are one of many public and private suppliers within the County, however the County, the City of New Port Richey and the City of Zephyrhills are the only public utilities offering reclaimed water service. Street Lighting is a special assessment fund.
DESIRED IMPACT:
To provide leadership and direction within the Pasco County Utilities Services Department in compliance with County
policies and all administrative and environmental regulations.
OPERATIONAL GOALS AND PROGRAMS:
To provide for the expansion
of utilities infrastructure to ensure continued growth; to expand on the
reclaimed water system in Pasco; to provide for the efficient operation of the solid
waste system which includes the Waste-to-Energy Facility, Leachate Management
Facility, and the Material Recovery Facility.
