Private vehicles are not permitted on the Waste-To-Energy Plant tipping floor. Our insurance companies no longer allow private individuals to use this location.

PLEASE NOTE: The following policies will be strictly enforced:
  1. The citizen drop off area is for residential use only. No business or commercial use will be permitted.
  2. All commercial haulers will be charged $56.70 per ton for all debris including scrap metal.
  3. Only normal household waste that would be placed at curbside for regular pickup shall be exempt from payment.
  4. Exceptionally large loads of furniture or other waste (to be determined by Solid Waste Attendant) will be escorted to the tippling floor and will be charged the going rate which is currently $56.70 per ton.
  5. Mixed loads requiring special handling will be accepted and charged at the going rate, which is currently $56.70 a ton. (This means solid waste and/or construction debris or other waste that cannot be incinerated.)
  6. All M.S.W. (garbage) must be in a closed container, i.e., bags, boxes, etc.; from households, no charge.
  7. Furniture (metal not included) may still be placed in the citizen drop off containers. Exception: sleeper sofas which will be sent to the Class III area. No M.S.W. will be permitted in the Class III landfill.
  8. Chemically treated wood is not allowed in the citizen drop off area. Other lumber, which is less than four (4) feet in length and six (6) inches in diameter may be put in the citizen drop off containers.
  9. Chemically treated wood and lumber in excess of four (4) feet and six (6) inches in diameter will be charged the going rate which is currently $56.70 a ton.
  10. Yard Waste will be charged as follows: $56.70 a ton.
  11. All yard waste over four (4) feet in length or greater than (6) inches in diameter will be charged at the going rate which is currently $56.70 a ton.
  12. Special Wastes: Asbestos $100.00 per ton
    $100.00 per event
  13. Construction Debris: $56.70 per ton ($56.70 per ton is pro rated / $2.83 per 100 pounds)
  14. All tires are chargeable at $100.00 per ton pro-rated.
  15. ‘Out of County’ waste will not be accepted.
  16. All gas and oil must be removed prior to disposal of engines.

PLEASE ARRIVE WITH ENOUGH TIME TO UNLOAD. THE GATES AND SCALEHOUSES CLOSE AT 5:00 P.M.

Individuals who refuse to follow the rules and policies of Pasco County Utilities/Solid waste will be prohibited from use of this facility.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE CENTER IS AVAILABLE TO PASCO COUNTY RESIDENT S EVERY THURSDAY AND THE LAST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 2:00 P.M. – FREE OF CHARGE.
