DESIRED IMPACT:
The Information Technology Department is responsible for providing information technology, data processing services and related support to approximately 50 departments, divisions, and sections under the Board of County Commissioners and for furnishing technical support and data processing infrastructure to the Constitutional Officers and the Court System.

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS DURING FISCAL YEAR 2004:
Deployed interactive web applications, upgraded and enhanced access and availability to data processing networks, enhanced network functionality, continued to install wireless hardware and installed virus detection and isolation software.

MAJOR GOALS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005:
Our staff will upgrade the computing power of the mainframe computer, continue to deploy interactive web applications, increase the network and bandwidth functionality and expand the fiber optic connection capabilities throughout the County.
