Plans Examination
Plans Examination
The Plans Examination review of the proposed construction documents to ensure they meet the current building codes within unincorporated Pasco County. It is the contractor's responsibility to ensure that all permitting documents and information on file with Pasco County is to current requirements.
When all required information or permits are complete, the plans will be reviewed (or in the case of mobile homes, the manufacturer's tie-down information) for Code compliance:
The following construction permits may be required: Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing and Mechanical (heating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation). In addition, swimming pools, fences, roofs and accessory buildings require separate permits. Multiple additional permit types.
Owner may obtain any required permit, however, they then accept full responsibility for the fees, work to be performed and being sure all work is properly inspected by Pasco County.

Payment of permit fees must be made at the time the permits are issued; impact fees are assessed at the time of permit issuance and payment is deferred until time of Pre-Power or Certificate of Occupancy.

Please see the Building Inspections page for pertinent inspections information.

An electrical  plans examiner is available between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
