Screening Process
Screening Process for SNAPP
It is the policy of Pasco County to provide SNAPP registration to any resident requesting assistance in notification, transportation, or sheltering.

Registrants will be pre-screened to determine the level of assistance required.
  • Notification will be provided to residents in the affected evacuation area only.
  • Transportation will be provided to public shelters, Special Needs Units, County hospitals and nursing homes. Transportation will not be provided to private destinations
  • Transportation will be provided to residents in the affected evacuation area only, with priority being given to those most susceptible to the immediate impact of the hazard (i.e. for a Level C evacuation, Level A and mobile home residents would receive first priority).
  • Residents will be assigned to type of shelter and location based upon their health/medical needs. Applicant who do not meet the criteria for the Special Needs Unit will be assigned to the American Red Cross portion of the shelter.
