Ecological Corridor Ordinance

On June 21, 2016 the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 16-13, Ecological Corridors LDC Section 804, which became effective June 24, 2016.  Thank you to everyone who attended the public meetings and provided comments on this issue. A public hearing will be held on August 9, 2016 with the Board of County Commissioners finalizing the associated Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment, which was transmitted to the State in May 2016.

Maps of the critical linkages are provided below for reference. The dashed yellow line on the maps shows the linkages boundaries as originally presented to and accepted by the BCC, and incorporated in the Comprehensive Plan. The solid yellow line shows the proposed refinements to the linkage.
