Welcome to Building Construction Services

The Building Construction Services Department is responsible for ensuring the public safety through the enforcement of federal, state and local codes governing building construction and administration of the National Flood Insurance Program. Our staff reviews plans, issues building permits and performs inspections to ensure code compliance related to aspects of life-safety, structural integrity, floodplain compliance and electrical, plumbing, fuel gas, heating and air conditioning systems.

Attention Building Construction Services customers – We have implemented a new computer system for all building construction and permitting services. On-line users of our services will have to create a new personal account to access all building construction permitting and inspection services. Please go to:  to create your new account. Upon creating your new account, please contact this office so we may link your County registration to your account so you will have full access to all of our services. Schedule of Fees - Effective October 2017:

Impact fees:
  • Effective Immediately - If the parcel is in a flood zone, you must apply in person for the permit at the New Port Richey office only.
  • As of March 2, 2016, All Applications for Commercial Permits will only be accepted in the New Port Richey Office.  We apologize for any inconvenience.
  • Effective June 30, 2015 Significant Changes of the Florida Building Code 5th Edition 2014

Lobby hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Additional Hours
Please note, no payments will be processed in the office after 3:30 pm.
Payments are accepted online 24 hours a day.

Normal inspection hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Inspectors have cellular phones and are available from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
The Cellular numbers are listed by inspector on the Staff page.
