Strategic Policy Department

Welcome to the Strategic Policy Department. Our mission is to build connections, expand economic growth, and increase trust between the people and local government. In our daily operations we provide businesses with opportunities to expand, encourage public engagement, and provide intergovernmental and legislative relations along with consultation services to the Board of County Commissioners.

The Strategic Policy Department administers and maintains the County’s relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to:

  • Private Businesses
  • Tourism and Hospitality partners
  • City, State, and Federal elected officials and government agencies
  • Civic leaders and representatives from community-based organizations

Our core programs cover economic growth, governmental affairs and tourism development; attracting and growing target industry programs and administering the County’s economic growth program, managing state and federal lobbying, legislative monitoring and promoting the county to increase our tourist base. We collaborate with our residents, stakeholders and the business community to develop a comprehensive, cohesive policy strategy that fits the unique needs of Pasco County and enables success with both short- and long-term objectives.
