Hard Pipe Locations for Thousand Oaks
Proactive Installations:

In preparation for future emergency pumping initiatives to protect citizens in the Thousand Oaks area during floods, the Public Works Department has proactively installed "hard pipes" in strategic areas in the community.

Two alignments (depicted in red, with an arrow) are clear from the image at right: One on the east side of Little Road and the other on the West side of Little Road, along the south side of Mitchell Boulevard.
The hard pipes locations follow linear alignments of suction hoses that previously helped flood alleviation during the 2015 floods. The hard pipes are not used to convey any storm runoff except as needed, during emergency pumping operations.
