The Office of Public Information manages Pasco County Television and has one Public Information Officer (PIO.)The office assists Departments within Pasco County Government to effectively communicate with the Public and the Press.

Public Information Office:  The PIO handles media inquiries, writes press releases, manages social media platforms and acts as the County spokesperson.  Reporters looking for contacts within Pasco County Government are encouraged to reach out to the PIO.   The PIO is responsible for performing a variety of marketing, communication, and production activities for Pasco County.  The PIO also serves as the lead for the Public Affairs Function in the County during an activation of the Emergency Operations Center.

    Doug Tobin/Public Information Officer:   Doug Tobin has more than 18-years broadcasting experience and has worked as a television news anchor and reporter.   Tobin has been a Public Information Officer/spokesperson since 2003 and has worked for local and state agencies including: The Florida Department of Children and Families, The Pasco Sheriff’s Office and has served as Press Secretary for The Florida Department of Environmental Protection.

    Pasco County Television:  Pasco County  Television is a 24-hour government cable channel, committed to providing viewers in Pasco County with quality programming.   The channel can be viewed by watching channel 643 on Brighthouse Networks and Channel 42 on Frontier Communications (formerly Verizon.) The Office coordinates live broadcasts of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and special BOCC Workshops.  This link provides more information about Pasco County TV. The PIO directs the operations of the channel, including scheduling, supervising, and general management of the station activities.
