Draft 2017 List of Priority Projects

The Pasco County MPO, the designated organization responsible for conducting a countywide transportation planning program, is seeking public comments and input on the draft 2017 List of Priority Projects (LOPP).  The MPO is responsible for identifying and prioritizing transportation projects and program priorities and annually updating and maintaining a List of Priority Projects.  The List of Priority Projects provides guidance to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in the development and programming of federally and State funded projects and programs as part of the FDOT’s Tentative Work Program which presents transportation projects and programs to be funded over the next five years. The draft 2017 List of Priority Projects may also be viewed on the MPO's website at www.pascompo.net beginning June 8, 2017.  In compliance with Section 339.175, Florida Statutes, applicable Federal law, in accordance with the MPO's Public Participation Plan and in compliance with Federal law - 23 CFR 450.316(b) (1) (i) and 339.175 (b) and (8) Florida Statutes, a 30-day comment period on the draft list of priority projects will begin June 8, 2017 and end July 13, 2017.  A Public Hearing for the 2017 List of Priority Projects is scheduled to be conducted at the regularly scheduled MPO Board meeting of July 13, 2017 to be held at the Historic Pasco County Courthouse, Board Room, 2nd Floor, 37918 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, Florida, at 10:00 a.m. The MPO Board will consider adoption of the 2017 LOPP after conducting the Public Hearing. Fiscal Years 2017/18 through 2021/22 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
The Pasco County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the designated organization responsible for conducting a countywide transportation planning program has set a 30-day public review and comment period beginning on or before May 5, 2017 through June 5, 2017 on the Draft TIP. The TIP identifies a five year listing of all transportation projects and programs funded mainly with Federal and State funds within Pasco County. The Final TIP is scheduled for approval by the MPO Board on June 8, 2017 at their regularly scheduled meeting at 10 AM at West Pasco Government Center, 8731 Citizens Drive, Board Room, New Port Richey, Florida, 34654. FY 2016/17 through FY 2017/18 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) Amendment:
The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP)(aka MPO budget) for the Pasco County MPO documents all transportation planning activities planned to be undertaken during the Fiscal Years 2016/17 through FY 2017/18. The document is required to span two fiscal years and is a statement of work to be performed, identifying planning priorities and activities to be carried out by the MPO. The MPO is amending the second year to update the UPWP PL funding increase, annual certifications and assurances and the Section 5305 (d) transit funding application. The MPO is initiating a 30-day public comment period on the Amended UPWP sheets beginning on or before May 5, 2017 to June 5, 2017. Comments received on the Amended UPWP are documented and addressed in the Final UPWP. The Final UPWP is scheduled for approval by the MPO Board on June 8, 2017 at their regularly scheduled meeting at 10 AM at West Pasco Government Center, 8731 Citizens Drive, Board Room, New Port Richey, Florida, 34654.
