Barbeque Safety
  1. Before using the gas grill, check the connections between the tank and the fuel line.
  2. Do not overfill the propane tank.
  3. Be careful when using lighter fluid. Do not add fluid to an already lit fire, because it can flash back into the container and explode.
  4. Do not wear loose fitting clothing while cooking at the barbeque.
  5. Keep all matches and lighters away from children. Teach children to report any matches or lighters to an adult immediately. Supervise children around outdoor grills.
  6. Dispose of hot coals properly – make sure they are doused with water and stir to make sure the fire is completely out. Never place them in plastic, paper, or wooden containers.
  7. Never grill or barbeque in an enclosed area – carbon monoxide can be produced.
  8. Make sure everyone knows to Stop, Drop, and Roll if their clothes catch on fire. Remember to dial 9-1-1 if a burn warrants serious medical attention.
