Permitting and Inspections in Pasco
Permitting and Inspections
Before you do any work or sign a contract for a property (sale or lease), you will want to ensure you have proper zoning in place. Central Permitting and Zoning & Site Development staff can assist you prior to making changes or locating your business in any location. You can call  (727) 847-8142 to schedule a Pre-Application meeting, or to ask a general question regarding the property. We encourage you to involve staff at the beginning of or during the preliminary stages of your plans so that you can confirm the placement of your business or expansion project smoothly transitions through the permitting process.

Central Permitting Division's goal is to provide for the processing of applications for Building Permits while complying with all local land development regulations.  We have an online permitting system Public Access to Permit Applications (PAPA) where contractors are able to obtain simple permits online.  Inspection requests are also available online, but a password will be necessary for you to be able to access these links.  Forms to obtain a password as well as detailed instructions for contractors are available here.

Building Permit applications for compliance with floodplain regulations, zoning setback and coverage requirements, comprehensive plan, contractor licensing and other local regulations. Services are provided in three locations: New Port Richey, Dade City and Land O' Lakes.

Central Permitting is also responsible for assessing and collecting impact fees: transportation, mobility, parks and recreation, libraries, schools, emergency services, hurricane mitigation, as well as the collection of resource recovery fees.

The division also assists in the administration of the Flood Damage Prevention rules and regulations.
