District 1

Commissioner Oakley actively served in the Florida National Guard while working in his family's citrus and agricultural business with his father and brother, and he also served as vice president of the family's transportation company.

Commissioner Oakley was appointed to the Governing Board of Southwest Florida Water Management District by Governor Charlie Crist, and during his four years on the Board he held the positions of Treasurer, Vice-Chairman, and Chairman.

Commissioner Oakley has been very actively involved with our local community, particularly with annual benefit concerts by famed country music star, John Anderson. Mr. Anderson's concerts provide much-needed funds to several charities and organizations in east Pasco County, such as Kiwanis, Florida Hospital Zephyrhills Heart Institute, Bayfront Hospital Dade City, Restored Hope, The Thomas Promise, Sunrise Spouse Abuse Center, and the Boys and Girls Club of Lacoochee, of which Commissioner Oakley is the current Chairman.

The Pasco County Fair Association, the Future Farmers of America, numerous 4-H Clubs, the Pasco Sheriff's Agricultural Unit, as well as the Sheriff's Mounted Posse, are also beneficiaries of Commissioner Oakley's support.

Commissioner Oakley is prepared to serve as a full-time, dedicated Pasco County Commissioner and welcomes citizen input.
