*Hosing shall be conducted with a hose with a self-canceling or automatic shut-off nozzle or both; provided, however, alternative methods that do not use water should be employed, if possible.

 


Lawn watering Times:
Effective January 23, 2007

You may water on your watering day between the hours of 12:01 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. OR between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m.  You may only water once on your approved day.

**EXEMPTION FOR WATERING NEW
TURF GRASS (SOD, SEED, PLUGS AND SPRIGS)

New turf, grass, and landscaping is exempt from the day of the week restrictions for the first 60 days after installation; however, such watering shall be limited to the minimum necessary, shall only be accomplished during the hours of 12:01 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. or the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.  Only the newly planted lawn areas can be watered pursuant to this exemption. Accordingly, if 50% or more of any particular irrigation zone contains new grass or landscaping, that entire zone can be irrigated with lawn sprinklers any day for 60 days during allowable hours. If any particular irrigation zone contains less than 50% new grass or landscaping, then only the new grass or landscaping can be hand watered any day for 60 days during the hours allowed and lawn sprinklers cannot be used.

VIOLATIONS

FIRST VIOLATION–           There shall be no warning; a $30.00 fine, plus $8.00 court costs, will be imposed by issuing a citation.  The fine can be paid on or before the Date of Arraignment.

SECOND VIOLATION–      $250.00 fine, plus $8.00 court costs.

THIRD VIOLATION–          $500.00 fine, plus $8.00 court costs.
