DESIRED IMPACT:
Code Compliance goal is to provide accurate information to all interested parties and to
fairly and efficiently enforce the Pasco County Land Development
Code and ordinances pertaining to zoning, building, licensing, the environment,
consumer law violations, and cable regulations. Code Enforcement Officers
respond to resident inquiries concerning zoning violations, public nuisances,
air, water, and soil pollution; tree preservation and removal; regulation of
refuse collection firms; and other problem related to land development within
the County. In addition, consumer law violations are investigated. This
Department takes citizens requests for information and routes these requests to
the appropriate department for resolution.
OPERATIONAL GOALS AND PROGRAMS:
The Code Compliance Division is responsible for the enforcement of County codes and
ordinances pertaining to zoning, building, licensing, environmental, consumer law violations,
and cable regulations. Code Enforcement Officers respond to resident inquiries concerning
zoning violations; public nuisances; air, water, and soil pollution; tree preservation and
removal; regulation of refuse collection firms; and other problems related to land development
within the County. Code Enforcement Officers also investigate consumer law violations.
The Division takes citizens' requests for information and routes these requests to the appropriate
department or division for resolution. The Code Compliance/Consumer Affairs Division provides lead
staff and prepares the agendas for the Code Enforcement Board, Consumer Affairs Board, and
Cable Advisory Board.
