A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO SECTION 94-2, PASCO COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES, ADOPTING AN EQUIVALENT RESIDENTIAL UNIT (ERU) SPECIAL ASSESSMENT METHODOLOGY FOR STREET AND ROAD IMPROVEMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, by Ordinance _________, modified Section 94-2, Pasco County Code of Ordinances, to allow the Board to adopt by resolution any methodology it deems appropriate for reasonably apportioning special assessments among property owners deemed to specially benefit by such improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to adopt an Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) methodology to reasonably apportion special assessments for street and road improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners in regular session, duly assembled, as follows:
1. The Board of County Commissioners hereby adopts the Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) special assessment methodology attached hereto for street and road improvements initiated or made pursuant to Chapter 94, Pasco County Code of Ordinances.
2. Nothing herein shall prevent the Board of County Commissioners from: (1) utilizing the ERU special assessment methodology for other improvements initiated or made pursuant to Chapter 94, Pasco County Code of Ordinances or (2) utilizing an alternate special assessment methodology for street and road improvements. Furthermore, the adoption of this Resolution shall not affect the validity of any special assessment methodology utilized prior to the adoption of this Resolution.
