It is recommended that the data herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.

 

DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS:

 

On May 30, 2002, Dr. Robert Tannenbaum and the Bank of America, property owners, submitted an application to the Growth Management Department to change the Future Land Use classification, pursuant to Chapter 163.3187(1)(c), Florida Statutes, Amendment of Adopted Comprehensive Plan, Small-Scale Development Amendments.  Timothy G. Hayes is designated as the Agent of Record.  The property is located on the east side of S.R. 54, abutting Stagecoach Village Subdivision to the east.  The property is currently undeveloped, contains 5.28 acres, and is identified as Parcel ID No. 22-26-19-0000-00200-0020.  The applicants are requesting a Future Land Use classification change from RES-3 (Residential - 3 du/ga) to ROR (Retail/Office/Residential).

 

The ordinance amending the Pasco County Comprehensive Plan to adopt this proposed change is attached.

 

ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS:

 

1.                  Introduce the ordinance and direct staff to schedule the required public hearing.

 

2.                  Not introduce the ordinance and thereby delay the applicants' request.

 

3.                  Recommend another course of action.

 

RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING:

 

The Growth Management Department staff recommends that the Board approve Alternative No. 1 and direct staff to schedule the public hearing for adoption of the ordinance on August 20, 2002.

 

No funding is required for this action
