A RESOLUTION BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE RATE CHANGE WITHIN THAT AREA COM­MONLY REFERRED TO AS "ROLLING OAKS ESTATES" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PASCO COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 94, ARTICLE II, SEC­TION 94-48(3), SEC­TION 94-49(E), and SECTION 95-55

 

 

 

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Pasco County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 94, Article II, Section 94-48(3), Section 94-49(e), and Section 95-55, the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, is authorized to charge the rates that are assessed to the owners of properties benefited by these lighting services; and,

WHEREAS, the Board has previously established a street lighting area known as "Rolling Oaks Estates"; and,

WHEREAS, the rates have been in place to the earlier sections of the streetlight area known as "Rolling Oaks Estates" for up to ten (10) years, and the assessments in place currently do not cover the costs of the program; and,

WHEREAS, the Board finds that it is in the public interest to continue to provide street lighting service to the property community refereed to as "Rolling Oaks Estates" and to defray the cost of such service by levying and collecting special assessment against the property benefited.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, in regular session duly assembled that, pursuant to the provisions of the Pasco County Code of ordinances, Chapter 94, Article II, Section 94-48(3), Section 94-49(e), and Section 95-55, the area commonly known as "Rolling Oaks Estates," hereby sets the monthly assessment for the lighting provided in the amount of Seventy-Six and 00/100 Dollars ($76.00).
