It is recommended that the following be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
DESCRIPTION
AND CONDITIONS:
Please find attached for first public hearing
the proposed Ninth-Cent Local Option Motor Fuel Tax Ordinance. On
(a)
Public transportation operations and
maintenance.
(b) Roadway
and right-of-way maintenance and equipment and structures used primarily for the
storage and maintenance of such equipment.
(c) Roadway
and right-of-way drainage.
(d) Street
lighting.
(e)
Traffic signs, traffic engineering,
signalization and pavement markings.
(f)
Bridge maintenance and operation.
(g) Debt
service and current expenditures for transportation capital projects in the
foregoing program areas, including construction and reconstruction of roads.
ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS:
1.
Accept the attached proposed Ninth-Cent
Local Option Motor Fuel Tax Ordinance.
2.
Direct revisions to the attached Ninth-Cent
Local Option Motor Fuel Tax Ordinance.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING:
The Office of the County
Attorney recommends that the Board of County Commissioners accept the attached
proposed Ninth-Cent Local Option Motor Fuel Tax Ordinance, listen to public comment
and continue the public hearing until a final hearing on this ordinance
scheduled for June 18, 2002, at 9:30 a.m. at the Historic Pasco County
Courthouse, 37918 Meridian Avenue, Board Room, Dade City, Florida. At the

this item.
