It is recommended that the data herein presented be given formal consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.

DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS :

A public hearing has been scheduled for April 16, 2002, at 9:30 a.m., in the Board Room at the Historic Pasco County Courthouse, 37918 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, Florida.

A public hearing was held on February 8, 1994, to establish Tanglewood Village, Phase II (Williamsburg West Subdivision), as a street lighting area. In addition, an additional light installation was approved on September 13, 1994.

Pasco County is now desiring to combine the different account numbers and to increase the assessment to $51.00 in order to cover costs which have increased over the years. Currently the assessment for this streetlight area is $43.10.

ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS :

  1. Approval of the consolidation and rate increase will allow for recouping of our costs associated with managing this streetlight area.

  2. Disapproval will not allow for consolidation of accounts and will continue operation of this "streetlight area" at a loss.

    RECOMMENDATION AND FUNDING :

    The Utilities Services Branch recommends that the Board approve the combining of electric accounts and the rate increase.

    Per the agreement, the monthly charge of $910.00 per month (an annual charge of $10,920.00) will be paid from the Special Density Category Account No. B701-812100-34365.

    Payment will be based on monthly invoice.
