It is recommended that the data herein presented be given formal
consideration by the Board of County Commissioners.
DESCRIPTION AND
CONDITIONS:
The Settlement Agreement between the Citizens for Sanity and the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners includes a revision of Objective 2.9 and Conservation Policy 2.9.2 of the Pasco County Comprehensive Plan. This objective is now 2.8 and 2.8.2 respectively in the October 2000 Pasco County Comprehensive Plan. The following Pasco County Departments/Divisions are utilizing this policy as part of their conditions of approval: Development Review, Growth Management, and Zoning .
Growth Management’s Master Planned Unit Development (MPUD) completeness checklist requires the applicant to comply with this objective and policy. Developers for most MPUD's are now providing the assessments to staff during the initial review process, and staff forwards them to the county biologist for comment. Development Review’s procedure is to require environmental/wildlife habitat studies, as standard conditions of approval for all received plans. Plans of proposed development are sent to the County biologist for review. The zoning division grants approval of zoning requests conditional upon compliance with the Pasco County Comprehensive Plan, Conservation Element, and Policy No. 2.8.2.
