To manage the Transportation Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), programmed maintenance and the bridge replacement program in the most productive, efficient manner possible.
To provide professional engineering inspection capabilities relative to the development of subdivision/commercial and special projects that the County pays for, will maintain, or has approved through the development review process.
Project Management manages the Transportation Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), bridge replacement program, and the In-House Design Section in the most productive, efficient manner possible.
The primary goal of the Project Management Division is the implementation of all phases of the CIP as determined by the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners. Implementation of the CIP includes supervision and coordination of the following elements:
- Planning through development of Route and Pond Studies
- Design, including preparation of plans and specifications
- Coordination of the right-of-way acquisition with the Real Estate Department and the County Attorney's Office
- Administration and awarding of all CIP construction contracts
Besides the CIP, responsibility also includes administration, management, and coordination of the Paving Assessment Program. This includes citizen inquiry, preparation of estimates, and petitioning of neighborhood residents, through completion of construction, all in accordance with applicable County Ordinances. The In-House Design Section provides roadway and drainage design assistance for minor CIP projects and assists PVAS and programmed maintenance when design is necessary for their projects. The In-House Design Section also provides design support required by other departments and divisions within Pasco County; e.g., Community Development, Parks and Recreation Department, and the District School Board.
