Stormwater Management Division

Purpose Statement

To reduce the potential loss of life or property due to flooding, protect the county's waters from stormwater pollution, and improve the county's storm drainage system.

It is the division's responsibility to design, construct, maintain and improve the county's drainage system which includes all drainage-related infrastructures in unincorporated Pasco County. The division's goal is to protect the public's safety and welfare through the proper collection, conveyance and storage of stormwater runoff through new and existing drainage flow-ways. This goal is accomplished through programs that consists of engineering projects, natural resources protection, drainage infrastructure maintenance and public involvement.
